Carolinas Ice Cream Shop Cafe

I think they have recently changed owners. Fries were soggy, pork tenderloin sandwich had no seasoning and ice cream was mediocre. In past it was much much much better. Service was slow and a little on the rude side. In past we have alway had good food, good ice cream and good service. Oh and fountain sodas were terrible. This is basically the only eating establishment around Lake Wappapello, with exception to the little pizza place and Crab n Co. Sad that it doesn't meet past expectations.

We just got through eating lunch here and it was a great experience! Upon entering we were told we could sit anywhere by a young blonde haired lady. maybe the owner? Anyway she was very nice and took our order for catfish plates. When she brought out our food we were shocked at the amount! There was no way we were going to eat it all. The catfish was on flavor and breaded and cooked properly. Crispy outside and fully cooked but not dried out inside. We had each ordered fried okra as one of our sides and believe me there was a generous amount of it. We finally threw in the towel when we could eat no more and asked for a to-go box which was promptly brought to our table. The young lady checked on us several times while we were eating and then also rang us up when it was time to leave. Lots of local folks came in while we were here as well as a state trooper and deputy sheriff so you know it's a good place to come to. Nice clean place! We will be back!

Tiny little place that you wouldn't expect to have amazing food but they do. We have always gotten ice cream from here which is always good but tonight we ordered hamburgers. Most hamburgers, including my own, lack flavor. I had a mushroom and swiss burger and it was simply superb. The mushrooms were incredibly flavored but the burger itself had a phenomenal taste and it was juicy. My husband had a BBQ burger which he said was great. He had a side of fries and they were perfectly crisp. You may have to wait a bit for your food but deal with it, it's soooo worth it.

A cute yellow ice cream shop with a walk up order area, or you can sit inside and eat. Or even eat outside on the patio. Their food is really cheap but it doesnt skip out on flavor. You wont regret coming here. All of the employees are extremely friendly and kind! I recommend this place to anyone that will listen!

We had great food here, terrific service, and delicious ice cream at reasonable prices. Get the catfish or burgers! All of us enjoyed ours! And be sure to save lots of room for ice cream because their small cone is as big as a large somewhere else.
