Fanastic eats i had the chicken roti yumm service was good and the price very reasonable as soon as you walk in it smells like you are in malaysia

This is yet another review of this restaurant. Its become our go to take away. Tonight we ate it. Great Lobak and satay and terrific Roti and beef rendang.

Have been here 15-20 times over the last 4 years and this place never disappoints. Kway Teow beautiful and as chilli hit as you want. Beef Rendang so soft, and ikan billis available if asked. Lobak for starters is beautiful. Cheap and byo beer and wine - can't go wrong. This really is a 'shut up and take my money' place.

I have been here several times. It's obviously a favourite amongst Malaysian. Lots of variances on quality and authenticity depending on who is making your CKT. Staff was not at the finest yesterday. Wanted a glass of cold water. The staff in question could not seem to be bothered to get a drink from the refrigerator instead proceeded into the kitchen and as I observed picked up a glass from the sink, gave it a quick rinse, filled it with water and plonked it on the table. Won't be in a hurry to go back here. I think some folks take customers for granted simply because they assume they have a sizeable clientele. Anyway I was really disappointed yesterday.

Had a good time here at the Straits Cafe.We use to go to their other place in Doncaster however that has changed hands.The Char Tang Hoon was good and flavor was just right especially with the sambal balachan. The fried rice was not that good though and was a bit soggy. Furthermore we asked to omit chicken from the dish and they did not ask or replace it with fish cake or something else.
