Ike's Place - Walnut Creek

My personal favorite is the vegan meatless Mike. A tip for fellow veggie lovers: the sandwiches are vegetarian by default, but you can easily make them vegan by requesting vegan cheese and sauce.

I recently visited Ike's after being away for over 5 years while living abroad. I was thrilled to discover that the sandwiches are still just as delicious and high quality as I remembered. Unlike some other local eateries in the area, Ike's has maintained their standard of excellence. One of the things that sets Ike's apart is their extensive vegan menu options. They offer a variety of vegan meats and cheeses, making it easy to veganize almost any item on the menu. I particularly enjoyed the Vegan Pilgrim Thanksgiving sandwich and the Vegan Handsome Owl with Teriyaki chickin and wasabi mayo. Ike's is extremely vegan-friendly and offers more than just typical salad options for vegans. I also loved the Voo Doo crisps - they were amazing! Overall, I love this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious vegan options.
