Tara's Kitchen - Wakefield

Only looks like a dive. Tara prepares her pub fare and pizzas with love. She is an absolute gem, and if you don't feel the need to tip excessively, then she must be having a bad day. I'll come back to the UP just to enjoy a burger (and excellent fries) cooked by Tara. I had 2 teenage and 1 preteen boys who devoured at 16 pepperoni pizza. I didn't even get to try a piece. Wish they had some higher end brews available, but I'll live

A real gem of a hole in the wall. Take it as a compliment too. Great food. Friendly bartender/cook. A place where they would know and care about you if you were a regular.

Perfect... Came out of the Porkies after a backpacking trip and needed a burger and a beer like you wouldn't believe.. The burger was absolutely delicious.. Take the super-friendly bartender's recommendation.. Throw an egg on that double cheeseburger with chunks of bacon and cheese oozing.. Get them fingers dirrrrty, you can wash your hands later.. Big ole steak fries and summer shandy and a baseball game.. Delightful.. Totally recommend. Perfect bar if you're coming off of camping and you need to satiate that burger/beer craving.. Go and get it kiddos!
