The Puhoi Pub Stables Est 1879

Always being a pleasure in this place, bikers, travelers, locals and more. With deep historical ties it becomes an absolute adventure that goes into the pub. From breakfast to lunch and dinner there is menu for all, make sure you experience the vibe.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights Jan 2022 and had the best time. Staff and new owners were super helpful and friendly. Our room was super clean like bathroom and had everything we needed. Can absolutely recommend stay here to enjoy all activities Puhoi has like hiking trails, kayaking, visiting Puhoi Cheese and the Sunday market.

A great little place. Very nice and pleasant mood. The Worker Burger (picture) is a monster and comes with Fritten to be aware.

Puhoi Pub is a great stop for a bite to eat on the way up to Northland, and it regularly has a band playing in the weekend’s My partner and I had a Cheese Bacon Burger and chips and it was a beautiful homemade patty with a big rasher of bacon and fresh lettuce and sliced tomatoes. The chips were crinkle cut and cooked to perfection. There is plenty of BBQ tables all with large market umbrellas for shade. The service was excellent and the old decor was like stepping back to the 1800s What I found awesome was the quests would write on a currency note from NZ or from the country they were from and pin it to the inside walls of the pub soo cool
