7/15/2021 Ausgerufen, 1 mixing plate with roasted chicken roast pork, engraving on the side, hand-cut frits, and 1 mixing plate with chicken catsu and mahi mahi. All right! My chicken catsu was crispy and the sauce on the side was really brownish and delicious. The Mahi was thinner than I had expected, but had delicious fry mix coating it and with another tartar sauce that was tasty, had pimples relish and shredded carrots. The fried noodles are consistently delicious and I like that under the Mac Salat is crushed cabbage salad with Thousand Island Dressing. These plates are huge and make at least three meals for me! Simple phone order and pickup. The only thing is that she answered the phone with a hello, so I had to ask if I had reached Leeward Drive-Inn. I delivered both an Ultimate Mix Plate a Fried Noodle plate with Chicken Katsu to a friend who loves fried noodles and makes his own tasty version. He said Leeward Drive-Inn's noodles are the best he ever had. Since in 73 he has eaten many fried noodles in his life, I think he is an expert who also agrees with all his heart! I had the Loco Moco with eggs cooked over easy, and it was flavorful and came in a generous portion. While it may not be my favorite version of Loco Moco, it was still quite good. I also enjoyed the noodles, which everyone seemed to love, and the fried chicken was crispy and delicious! Definitely worth a try!

If you order at the window, be prepared to wait over 20 minutes. Those who called ahead simply picked up their meals and left, which is definitely the smarter option! Keep in mind that this is strictly takeout; there is no seating available. If you have to wait, you'll find yourself standing in the limited shade or out in the sun, another good reason to call ahead! Also, even if you ordered in advance, they will keep calling your name when your food is ready, so it can be frustrating if you're not there when they call. It's best to call about 15 minutes before you plan to arrive—don't call too much earlier, as there are no heat lamps and your food may cool down if you take too long. Despite these few inconveniences, this is the best place to eat on the island. You'll leave satisfied without breaking the bank, and the quality of the food rivals places that charge two to three times more. Definitely worth a visit!
