Foods okay thought would be better because of everyone's review. I'm tired of paying 13 bucks for lunch and the food being mediocre or something I can cook better at my house. I got the spicy garlic shrimp it was alright nothing to rave over.
This spot is legit good! They are open rain or shine and we've been twice so far. Butter garlic shrimp is amazeballs and they put fried garlic on the rice so dang good! Fried fish is also really good and fried chicken portion is huge. Staff is super nice! Glad to have them in my neighborhood.
Like another person said. The food trucks aren’t here anymore.
I have mixed feelings about this place but I *did* order delivery. Coconut shrimp: The best part of the meal, it was crispy, perfectly cooked, and still hot by the time it got here. The salad is just lettuce with a dollop of ranch. I 'd order this again but it 's not anything new. Fried chicken: This was kind of gross... the breading was a little thick and chewy. It wasn 't crispy, it was dry and lacked flavor. Lumpia: I definitely wasn 't expecting what I got. I thought I was going to get some meat lumpia (egg rolls). Instead, I got banana filled wontons covered in panko breadcrumbs. It tasted like a miniature McDonalds apple pie. Garlic fries: It 's okay. It 's not really crispy, it 's crunchy but it gets almost gummy after being cooked with garlic and onion. The garlic and onion flavor isn 't that great, it tastes like it was just stir fried with frozen fries. Overall: The food is mediocre and bland. I thought I was going to discover a hidden gem after I read the reviews. I 'd order in person to avoid the third party fees. Truth is, it 's not really worth paying extra money to get it delivered. I 'd recommend sticking to the shrimp here, since that seems to be the best part of their menu. I feel bad leaving an okay review here because I really wanted to love this place, but everyone else is over hyping it.
