Butter My Biscuit Cafe - Waco

Walking in I was a bit lost because of all the RPG stuff for sale. Not an issue because I love RPG and it didn 't take long to realize this is both, a gaming store and restaurant. So loved the atmosphere. The service was excellent. Top notch staff. The food.... Well that is where things went downhill fast. Got the What Brent Had . Menu said it was a favorite, waitress said it was a favorite, and even reading the description made it sound good. Was served this dish in probably less than a minute. Never had food fly out to the table that fast?? Can 't even get food that fast at a Fast Food Restaurant . Then I tasted the food. Yep, I see why it was so fast. Sausage is generic microwave patties from possibly Walmart, eggs are precooked and sitting in a warmer, and gravy is a cheap mix rather than hand made. The biscuits was the only thing that seemed real and there was a LOT of biscuit. Honestly that should not have surprised me due the the name of the restaurant. It seems to be the only salvation going on because even there coffee was awful. Told the waitress that I wanted the refills but after tasting it I really didn 't even want to finish my first mug. Then there is the PRICE. For my very disappointing meal the price was more than what I would have paid at Cracker Barrel or I-Hop or even other chain restaurants and the quality was way down the scale of those chains. Maybe the famous What Brent Had is not what I should have ordered. Something else from the menu could have been excellent seeing other reviews and I would have loved this place, but after this disappointment not going back.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!! The service and food were impeccable. I have not had a better experience at a restaurant. Please see Christy and Hunter for the most amazing service! You need to visit this gem with the coolest ambience. GO IMMEDIATELY!!!

Hidden gem!! Found on Roadtrippers app, a definite must stop! Food was excellent, service was excellent and the owner even came by and introduced herself and made us feel super welcome! We had the cheesy biscuit bowl and the biscuit French toast...so delicious!!!

I had the Lee 's tacos which were very good. Eggs, cheese, sauce, peppers, and fresh- I mean mama made fresh tortillas underneath the whole egg mixture. Really top notch. It 's a really small place and has limited seating, so you either wait a bit, or order at the counter to go and get it in just a few minutes. The place has a secret, or it 's maybe not a secret for regulars... they like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the movie. There are small characters in trophy cases, there are hobby parts, and there are tools if you want to paint and make these pieces come alive. The biscuits were HUGE and buttered and scrumptious. Try it You 'll like it!
