Bakfickan - Visby

I came in April with my German friend who doesn't speak Swedish, and the staff was so welcoming and super nice about it! The food was so delicious, the best fish I had in a really long time, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was so cozy. I would recommend trying to everyone!

Snug atmosphere, simple menu that sticks to what it can best do. And it's all great. This is a fishfield and they fish the Swedish way. If that's not your thing, go on. If nothing sounds better than hitting the toast with wild onion, sit down and prepare yourself because you are for a treat.

Very nice restaurant with traditional Swedish dishes. Service is great and super friendly. I tried fish soap their most popular plate and also red shrimp starters. Both dishes were amazing. Try to go a bit earlier as it takes some time to find an empty table.

Great fish soup, beautiful smoked shrimps, fantastic dessert. A must have experience in Visby.

Bakfickan was a really nice experience and so was the food. The restaurant is small and cozy with vibrant colors surrounding you on the inside. The food felt very fresh and I got the mussels and the daily catch. The food was very nice and i had ordered as takeaway and this has so far been the best take away experience with the packaging being fantastic Would totally recommend this restaurant if you enjoy seafood!
