My medium rare steak was gorgeous and the accompanying ribs were cooked beautifully and had heaps of meat on them, but that's where the good stops.We had to ask three times for peanuts which came with a sarcastic smirk. My husband had all you can eat ribs and had to ask for napkins which when finally arrived, where thrown onto the table as the "waitress" walked past. We ordered our third round of drinks with our "waitress" which never turned up. We tried again 20 minutes later with another "waitress" and they never turned up. An hour later, after staff continually walked past ignoring us, we complained and ordered a third time. When we explained we had been waiting ages for our drinks, we were rudely told we'd only ordered 10 minutes ago. We pointed out we'd ordered three times now to which our "waitress" stormed off. When the drinks came out 10 minutes later, they were slammed down on the table and we were glared at. I was then told the post mix was out of service but nobody had bothered to mention that until I tried a third time to order lemon lime bitters. She was apologetic and I'll give her that.When my husband went back for his second plate of ribs, our "waitress" physically elbowed between two guests to drop the ribs onto the table without any cutlery which was requested upon ordering.I can't believe anyone who hates their job so much would be in customer service. She won't have to worry about it for long however, because we won't be back and neither will the half dozen people at the register paying for their bill who had the same horrendous experience.Rolling your eyes at people is not customer service and if the manager is requested, you don't refuse the request without explanation.
Went to the lonestar in Mackay for a birthday dinner,the meals were ok accept the kids meals come out a while after our adult meals arrived however they were very busy. We were last of a large table of people to pay for our meals and we were informed that there was an entree not yet paid for and that we would be paying for it, not very happy as we did not order it or eat it and the whole table combined would have spent near on $1000 there that night so an $8 entree isn't going to break them bad reviews might though.
Decided to head to Lonestar after getting a craving for ribs. What a bad idea that was! We arrived; and were seated promptly and that where the service stopped. We sat for 15+ mins and weren't even greeted by a single person to take a drink order! There were 2 large tables that were already seated and looked to have already ordered, in fact one of the waitresses actually walked straight past our table after taking a drink order from one of the larger tables. Such a disappointment! As I was really looking forward to the Amarillo cheese fries and their ribs.
We went to the Lone Star Rib House with 11 family members for dinner at the end of a busy weekend. We were looking forward to a relaxed evening with nice food. Things got off to a poor start when we asked for our bucket of complimentary peanuts on arrival to be told they had run out! We also asked if outside bifold doors could be closed because of the noise from birds and the cool weather but received a fob off from staff who really didn't care at all about customers. Given that we were early diners, we are sure many others would have also been disappointed that this advertised treat was off the menu! Our drinks were ordered and delivered promptly and we soon got to order our meals. Disappointment 2 was that the sauces with our meals were only luke warm and most of the hot meals also were tepid and had cold chips or vegetables. One member of our party ordered the all you can eat ribs but couldn't even get through the first plate! The chicken ribs were dry and nasty and they couldn't even chew the pork ribs. The chips on the plate were cold. Clearly this restaurant doesn't warm plates. We didn't get an opportunity to order a second drink all the time we were there.The all you can eat icecream for child meals could be improved by making this available for self serve, as staff are very slow to come back to tables to refill the tiny plates children are given.Beware when visiting the toilets! The womens were disgusting and the mens stank of stale urine. Obviously these are not checked snd not cleaned properly. These are definitely a health issue and dont make a good impression on overall standards in the restaurant. The menus were sticky and filthy and not written clearly. Since when do you put mushroom in a pepper sauce? We had to go wash our hands after handling the menus.The only real positive was the kids eat free offer. Oh! We all wanted coffee after the meal only to be told the coffee machine was out of order! Our advice is that uou would get a much better meal with better service at almost any other restaurant, club or pub in town. We wont be back.
The place was full when we arrived. So we expected to wait but then we waited and waited and waited and waited. Oh did I mention we waited. Drinks WARNING - well disaster from the onset - there was NO tea or coffee! What place can't provide basics. Eventually got our soft drinks. I had to interrupt a staff member who was attending to another table to get our food order sorted. Then it was waiting and waiting and waiting. When my food arrived, I couldn't believe it! Since when does a taco get deep fried! And the menu states miles and miles of beef and beans.... Well, I hate to be the bearer of BAD news. There was ONE spoonful of beef and beans. If going on a long journey, miles and miles and miles would be good as you'd take a step and be at your destination going by this places' measurements! I can't even say I was sorry for the staff, they attempted to apologise but it was all fake! My meal was taken away when I complained and was asked if I'd like another! My comment was I'd probably be waiting another hour for the food to arrive. I advised I wouldn't be paying for the meal. Actually, I think it may even come under the trades description act as not telling exactly what you'd get. Others in the area we were located were disgusted with their meals and/or service. One group said they'd waited 90 minutes for their food. NOW. we move on to the male toilets, clean - ah NO, there was faeces on the cubicle wall and whoever enjoys going to the toilet to be greeted by a huge pile of used hand towels - Yes, you got it right, it was disgusting! Food = ZERO, SERVICE = ZERO. EXPERIENCE = never visit. There is no rating below terrible otherwise I'd select that option!
