Pizza A Metro Da Gigino L'universita' Della Pizza

You must order the truffle pasta, it is the best pasta in all of the smallish costs. And also the pizza is great as well… but make sure to order several toppings

We stayed at the Villa Ketty resort which is owned by the same family as the restaurant. We ate here at the restaurant a few times during our stay or had food delivered up to the resort. Everything we ate was tasty and good value, I had the Caprese salad for starter each time lovely fresh mozzarella, tomatoes basil. Over the week my husband and I also had the swordfish, mixed seafood grill, grilled beef and a 1/2 metre ragu ricotta pizza that was something special the best pizza we have ever eaten. Dessert I don't often eat sweet foods but an exception was made for the Delizia di Limoni di Sorrento. It was so creamy lemony I ate it twice in one week! The restaurant itself is spacious, has a friendly atmosphere and was never empty families and friends having a good meal evening out. Lots of people were eating the metre or half metre of pizza if you don't finish it you can ask for a doggy bag take your leftovers away with you I wish more restaurants allowed this!

Excellent staff, service and vino. The best pizza in Italy, many different selections but the pistachios and lemon pizza was just brilliant you must go and enjoy and In summer book.

Come non si può amare la pizza. un vico equense un paese che si trova tra la Penisola Sorrentina e la Costiera Amalfitana c'è l'università di pizza. e credimi che sia davvero fantastico. ma la pizza di vico equense non è una pizza come gli altri è un pizzametro inventato da un panettiere campana luigi dell'amura che poi ha aperto la sua famosa pizzeria. Fondamentalmente si può decidere quanti metri di pizza da mangiare e a seconda della lunghezza è possibile scegliere diverse capre, che sono infinite. Ho preso mezzo metro di pizza quattro oche. La portano su carrelli che i camerieri lasciano vicino al tavolo in modo da poter servire se stessi e se qualcosa rimane la imballano per portarla via. la camera è molto grande, è articolata su diversi piani e ha anche un giardino all'aperto. le cucine sono aperte e mentre i pranzi si possono vedere gli chef impegnati a preparare le maniche, o il pizzaiolo che cuoce pizze molto lunghe. oltre alla pizza si possono anche mangiare specialità della cucina campana a base di pesce o carne. numerosi sono gli antipasti messi tutti su un carrello che gira costantemente alla stanza piena di prelibatezze, è una cosa davvero bella e lo stesso va per i dolci, che l'acqua!

Struttura certamente molto organizzata, storica ma con un evidente calo di bontà è accaduto nel tempo. la pizza al metro, riconoscibile per la prima volta tra mille, oggi è stata impersonale, così come fritta e gnocchi alla sorrentina. i dolci, di cui in un tempo potevo solo assaggiare più di uno, oggi sono pochi e muto a un look goloso. personale sempre cordiale e pulizia garantita. Spero sia solo un episodio.
