Roti - Vernon Hills

On May 11, 2022, I visited this place again after having a positive experience a few months prior. I arrived on Saturday evening at 8 PM, believing it closed at that time based on the website, but it actually closes at 9 PM. My experience took a turn when a young man, who was serving me, offered me a complimentary pita with his unwashed hands after touching the register and adjusting his mask to scratch his nose. This was quite off-putting, especially considering the emphasis on cleanliness with gloves and masks. I’ve read about someone experiencing food poisoning after a visit here, and I can see how that might happen. It's concerning!

Great alternative to all other fast food options in the area. Nice portions and friendly staff. Had the 'Balls of Fire' and one side of the Falafel... Surprisingly light but filling dinner after a very early breakfast and work through (jumping) lunch.

Tony was incredibly nice and truly a great employee! I've always enjoyed the food since the restaurant opened. I'm a bit disappointed about the menu change, though, as some great items have been removed. I also wish there were an option to add more pots of feta (or peta) without having to order another side since I feel like the bowls don't feel as full as they used to. That said, the food is still really good! A big shout-out to Tony for creating such a friendly atmosphere!

The staff is welcoming, and the food is outstanding. The fresh olives, feta, peppermint, and other ingredients were delightful. The chicken was grilled to perfection, and the pita was nicely cooked. If you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, this restaurant is unbeatable for a quick and affordable lunch.

I was extremely frustrated with the new app and wasn’t able to order ahead. When I arrived I became disappointed that they did not have salmon for my husband and out of a few sides. After being aggravated a bit Tony the manager made it all right and encouraged me to come back! Either way Roti will be getting an email about their new app functionality!
