Chef Yan Can - Vernon Hills

I was happy we tried this place in the mall, set away from the food court. We tried the beef wonton noodle soup, chicken pad Thai, taro milk tea, and milk tea. Everything was good and the kids loved it. They brought out extra bowls and plates to help me keep the kids happy and fed. I wasn't the biggest fan of the milk tea, but the taro milk tea was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Great service and excellent food. Everything was very tasty. Server made recommendations, much appreciated. My kids are picky eaters and weren’t into the idea to stop here but even they enjoyed themselves. Smoothies come in cute bottles you can keep. Will definitely return and try other items.

First time at this restaurant, the staff was friendly but was hoping they would have suggested items to order or maybe asked is this your first time here. We had the Sesame Chicken and Vegetable Egg Rolls both had good taste but thought the entree a bit small portion for what they charged which I think is $11 or $12, Egg Rolls were nice, crunchy and good the Dim Sum was terrible, I think we ordered pork, we were told it would take 25 minutes and it came 10 minutes later? It was very dried out, had little to no flavor and the filling was sparse at best also there was paper stuck to the bottom of each piece (3 total per order) Is this how it is normally served?, Not good at all. Also, when you sit in the restaurant and see there storage junk in the back it's unfortunate but a terrible look. I would have had 3 stars if it was not for Dim Sum, storage issue and lack of customer experience which was not good. I know times are tough but this is how I felt when I left.

Lacked the quality that it had from other times we ordered. Pork was so hard, unable to eat. Shumai was not the same, very dense filling. Egg foo young lacked seasoning. Not sure if we will be back here again. Very disappointed.

Rose was nice enough to recommend some Dim Sum dishes to try and everything was delicious! Will definitely come back soon!
