Alpenrose - Verano

Beautiful place surrounded by nature, near the path that leads to the Knottnkino. Comfortable parking. Good food but nothing special, prices a little expensive. Overall good. Friendly staff.

Gasthof/restaurant very easily reachable, located along the provincial road 98, between Verano and Avelengo. It is situated in a beautiful natural setting, with a spectacular view from which you can reach the best hiking trails in the area. In about 10 minutes you can walk to the famous panoramic point called Knottenkino (natural outdoor cinema from which you dominate the entire Adige valley) Ampissimo adjacent parking and a beautiful and well-kept garden, especially for children. Excellent traditional dishes of South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine. Plenty and excellent quality portions! Welcome and courtesy are an added value. We booked for a dinner among friends enjoying the menu recommended by the owner Christine (which is also the cook), worthy of the best gourmet cuisine: carpaccio with finferli – cannelloni with porcini mushrooms – cunciale of veal with red wine with pure – crème brulèe. Excellent wine and, to conclude, limoncello and homemade egg cream liqueur. Of course we recommend it, both at lunch and dinner. Christian

During our visit we were able to sit on the terrace in the sun and enjoy the beautiful views. The Omelette and the Kaiserschmarren was excellent and this was served very appetizing in a small iron pan. The service was also very nice and simple. You're welcome.

Restaurant a bit out of the most famous tourist circuits of the area, but the panorama has nothing to envy. The selection of dishes is not very wide but the quality is really great. Delicious pasture cheeses, you really feel the sweetness of alps grass. The caneders were also of good quality. Unfortunately, the place was untreated but it's a shame because these dishes deserve a better setting. Parking a few meters, outdoor garden well maintained and appreciated by the little ones.

No break on the hike at a delicious piece of apple strudel. Operation attentive and nice. Price fair.
