Very good place to stay and to eat with an amazing view. The dishes are big and very tasty! The owner is very nice and close to the guests..amazing place
Good and fresh lake fish and an astonishing view.
When I arrived for dinner, a kind owner got an English-speaking waiter to help me find a table while I waited for my Italian friend to join me. The waiter told me to pick an 2-person table I liked. When I did, the owner came to tell me that I couldn't sit there, and the waiter explained that I could pick any 2-person table that I liked, EXCEPT that one, because it was already reserved for someone else. Okay... Because the dining room was kinda noisy, I asked the waiter if he maybe had another quiet table as an alternative, but he didn't answer, so I just sat down at the next table. As my Italian friend arrived, the waiter apparently explained to my friend that I had asked for aperitivo, and came back a bit later with two aperol spritz, a drink that I hate. Judging from the receipt, I guess they charged me about 5 euros per spritz. I guess we didn't get off at a great start. Maybe that's what I get for not speaking Italian in Italy? Thankfully the food was absolutely delicious. My chestnut pasta with fresh porcini was amazing. I skipped the main because there wasn't a vegetarian main and I wasn't super hungry. We ordered chestnut tiramisu and amaretto bavarois with pumpkin compote for dessert, and I would have happily ordered another portion of each, if I had been able to eat all of it. Would happily eat here again, but not enter without my Italian friend. And the table I was chased away from? Nobody ever showed up to claim it.
