Horseless Carriage Restaurant

The service was great it wasn't crowded when we went for dinner during the week. Next time we go we will try the more modest menu as the gourmet menu was a little disappointing for the price. I took my daughter for her birthday dinner, her steak was a bit tough and my sea bass a bit overcooked. The vegetables were cooked perfect and the plated presentation was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant to many friends for good food at a reasonable price.

After eating there for 20 years I made a RESERVATION for 4 at 6PM for the first time since I had a couple come from Santa Barbara. When we got there no table was reserved and we had to wait 20 minutes after a confirmation of a reserved table Not very happy Lee

The food is consistently amazing and I appreciated the convenience of being able to easily make a reservation.

First of all, you probably don 't need a reservation. We arrived at about 6:00 p.m. and there were only 2 tables occupied. I don 't think there was ever more than 5 tables occupied. The restaurant is located at the Galpin Ford dealership. It 's really a coffee shop with some upgraded foods. It is pleasant, very clean and all of the staff is very attentive. I had the asian sea bass and my friend the scallops and lobster linguini and both were quite good. Nice portions. My dinner came with soup or salad and there were rolls. I didn 't understand why the pasta dishes didn 't include soup or salad as well. My only negative on the food was the the mashed potatoes lacked any kind of seasoning. For the price, both dishes were very good.
