Charquitas Mexican Food - Vail

I've eaten there twice now and both main dishes were incredibly bland and flavorless. Worst Mexican food I have had in years. Mexican is known for its flavor! Put some seasoning in those dishes! Gringo Mexican I guess. Had tacos and pollo asada.One thing that WAS quite tasty was the tosito or whatever it was called. Bacon wrapped pepper stuffed with cheese and served with a soy sauce to dip. Yum!

I've been here multiple times and never disappointed yet.

We love having a great Mexican food restaurant in Corona de Tucson. We have been regulars since they first opened and usually eat there at least once a week. This is a food truck that is permanently located next to Ace Hardware in Corona. There is a small indoor seating area, also where the salsa is located. Couple tables out under the pergola.Large selection of menu items and portions are generous. We often get the box of 5 beef tacos- comes out to about $2 each and they are large, stuffed full of meat, lettuce and cheese. Some of our other favorites are the carnitas plate, the loaded tater tots, the chicken chimi and of course strawberry filled churros!They accept cash or card. I am glad they are taking cards and giving people an easier way to leave a tip. In the early days they were cash only and I rarely saw people tip.If new to the area or have never stopped by, we suggest you give them a try!

After getting breakfast burritos, we had to go back for dinner. Loved the nachos with guacamole and Pico. Salsa bar inside and spicy carrots ? ?
