A great little restaurant. The food was great and service friendly. A little too crowded for me but overall worth a visit.

It can be difficult to find authentic paella at restaurants, but this place offers a slightly Americanized version with half a lobster tail and popular ingredients like mussels and shrimp. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are friendly.

Amazing service and food! Best meal I have had in a while.

I was in Utica on business and decided to try a different restaurant after eating at the hotel for two nights. I found Ancora in the theater district and it was an excellent choice in every way. The Bruschetta for appetizer, Mushroom Stuffed Raviola as the house special, an oversized glass of tea, and one of the best Silver Patron margaritas made for one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The price versus value was great, especially for a restaurant in the theater district. I highly recommend Ancora if you're in the Utica area for a meal you won't regret.

I recently ordered the spaghetti and meatballs at this restaurant and it was excellent. The meatballs were large and flavorful, while the spaghetti was generously covered in sauce and parmesan cheese. The drinks were innovative and delicious. The service was a bit slow, but manageable considering the circumstances. I would definitely return as the food was great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was pleasant, but could use some energy to liven it up.
