The Boat Club - Urangan

I had dinner at the restaurant the other evening. The service was good, but the prices were a bit high and the portions were small. The cafe area was quite noisy, so it's better to dine in the restaurant if you want to escape the noise. The courtesy bus driver was excellent.

We are members and though we called the resturant, we were told we could not book a table, walk in only. Im not sure what the membership entitles one too if its not at least being able to book a table. When we received our dinners of the off the special board of parmesan coated perch, it was like it had been forgotten in the deep fryer. It was over cooked, dry as, and the taste was terrible. The option of side of potato bake was in fact, slices of potato with no other ingredients resembling a bake, and the veg was from the freezer. With the price of $30 each (not very special or member price friendly), we could 've bought a much more decent fish and chips down on the esplanade!! The boat club you should take a leaf out of the RSL book, and use fresh veg and get a chef who can cook. We want our recently paid membership refunded, we will never go again.

Had a few meals here on a holiday in August. General meals are all good to taste. We found the sea food fresh and very enjoyable. They also had beer specials a Power pint for $6.20. Prices are very reasonable, staff are friendly and good.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Restaurant yesterday. We had a guest from America whom we had it seen since 1986 Can’t book for under 6 we were 5. The lady in reception was amazing and found us a window table Food was excellent and we were last to leave as we had so much catching up and staff did not hassle us at all. Our family had driven our guest from the Sunshine Coast for this visit and we chose the Boat Club We were not disappointed and none of us wanted the day to end. Great food all round fantastic veiws and freindly service. The only down side was the lack of choices of deserts
