Oriental Palace - Urangan

Very typical local food, very western Chinese menu with nothing from the usual here. honey prawn, sata chicken with much too much mais strength very mainstream is yawn inducing.

I took off from here at the weekend. we ordered garnelen sweet and sour and sweet and sour pork with fried rice. first, I have to say as soon as we get it home, we realized that eating that was fried, in plastic containers with the lids on so was soft and limp when we opened the lid, in front of other restaurants fried foods in a paper fat free pocket, so it remains crispy. the sweet and acidic sauce was missing a little deep and was a little watery for my taste. the fried rice was delicious.

A real tasty bite in hervey bay! fresh, tasty eating a real surprise. good to get away and sit on the bay and see how the flea blouses fly past at dawn. friendly staff and good food.

Just ordered take away. BBQ pork, lemon chicken, fried rice, with dim sims and spring rolls. No sauce whatsoever on the lemon chicken, so just chicken . The soy and sweet chilli provided for the entree was very small. Very little sauce for the BBQ pork. Seemed to skimp on the small things. The rest was Ok for auschinese if you know what I mean.

The mother dish I had was great, and the locals around me also seemed to like their meals. it was quite expensive for Chinese/Malaysian cuisine. I enjoyed the Thai massage around the corner better to be honest.
