Pumpernickel Inn - Union Pier

This is a great B&B! Clean, cozy, and an amazing, attentive host. Definitely recommend anyone in town visiting to stay at the Pumpernickel Inn

Great accommodations. Location was perfect for our stay. Close to the dunes, wineries, restaurants. And the gelato shop was perfect for a late night treat before bed. Highly recommend

The Gelato is amazing. We stop here anytime we drive through the area. We will even make some diversions to make the stop.

The gelato here is delicious and incredibly fresh, with a fantastic variety of flavors. They also added a charming outdoor seating area this summer. I highly recommend it!

I live in Union Pier and have visited Izzy's multiple times, but I can't continue to support this restaurant. The male server, who I suspect may be the owner, has been rude on several occasions, making it hard for me to return with a clear conscience. The gelato is a 3.5 out of 5. While most flavors are decent, they don’t compare to what you’d find overseas, except for the pistachio, which is outstanding. There's also a crème de menthe flavor that's great, but you only enjoy it if you actually get some mint; otherwise, it tastes like plain chocolate. When I’ve asked him for extra mint, I've received a snappy, unpleasant response. After experiencing this behavior multiple times, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
