Waysider - Tuscaloosa

My father and I visited this charming and well-kept rustic restaurant in April on a sunny morning. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly middle-aged waitress with a southern accent, who kindly took our names and informed us of a short wait for a table as the restaurant was busy. When our table was ready, we were seated at a small wall table with two chairs. After looking over the menu, we ordered our food and waited. Despite sitting close to other diners, the atmosphere was quiet and cozy. Our food arrived within 10-12 minutes, starting with a plate of delicious, soft biscuits to share. The eggs were cooked perfectly, though a bit too much butter was used in the grits. The service was exceptional, fitting the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, it was a delightful experience and I could see myself returning in the future with a clear expectation of what to expect.

I enjoyed dining at this restaurant. If you're a Bama fan, this is the place to eat! The atmosphere was fantastic and the service was outstanding. There is a lot of history in the building. The only slight issue was finding the parking lot. You need to take 24th Avenue, turn right on 16th Street, then make a left onto 25th Avenue to get to the rear parking lot. However, it was all worth it in the end.

The food was fantastic! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The potatoes were amazing, as were the eggs and the cheese (the cheese belts are definitely worth it.) I ordered the land sink which was delicious. However, the seating is quite cramped and parking can be challenging. The dining experience is excellent, but there are some issues with the location.

The first time we're here today. great food! great service! friendly staff! my only complicity would be that I felt the prices were a bit high. however, good quality comes at a price. home cogen were! will definitely be back to try some other menu items!

An institution in Tuscaloosa! Enjoy fresh, flavorful and souther style breakfast. Fluffy biscuits and rich ham!
