The food is great, but the atmosphere is truly outstanding. There's a rich display of Alabama football history throughout the place.
We visited on game day, and perhaps it's different on other days, but our experience was quite poor. The long line was expected, as was the inflated game day pricing. However, we were taken aback when they closed the restrooms, turned off the fountain drinks, and severely limited the menu options. The food was all pre-cooked and served at best lukewarm, and often at room temperature. The meat on the burger was bland and tasted like a low-quality, institutional patty—think of cold Walmart Bubbaburgers wrapped in foil. People come here for the location and atmosphere, not the food. We ended up eating only about a third of our meal before tossing it. We then walked down the street to a food truck and enjoyed some delicious BBQ instead. I won't be wasting my time or money at Rama Jama again.
Located right next to Bryant-Denny Stadium, this restaurant is a true local institution. Recently, a new owner has breathed new life into the place with some innovative menu items, although they weren't strictly needed. Be sure to enjoy a burger and take your time savoring it. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's definitely worth the hassle. After your meal, consider taking a leisurely stroll through the nearby strip or around the campus.
Excellent food for breakfast and an old diner sports feel to it. Great location next to the stadium to go for a walk and burn of some of that breakfast!
