Casa Baeza - Truckee

This restaurant has been in Truckee forever. Great Margaritas and pretty good Mexican food at a reasonable price (by Truckee Standards).

My first time in Casa Baeza, my wife and I enjoyed the experience, song, dance, drinking and eating. The chips and salsa were amazing, I added Habanero Salsa to mine because why not? But let me back a bit, the entrance and the mood set from outside on the walk was quite exciting, the work of art around the restaurant, the subtle details that you may miss if you do not pay attention, definitely a place when you make several visits, you will find something new every time. The staff was friendly, professional and a rite at times

This is the only good Mexican restaurant I know of in Truckee, unless you’re willing to head to Tahoe City or Kings Beach. The atmosphere is great, and the recent remodel is beautiful. The service has also improved a lot. Definitely worth checking out!

On my first visit, I tried the Carne Asada and had two tacos that were excellent. When I returned the next day, I found they still had my favorite Carne Asada, and it did not disappoint. The margaritas were also great and strong enough to satisfy even my toughest critic.

I ordered takeout and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. This is a fantastic Mexican restaurant, and the enchiladas are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!
