Little Truckee Ice Creamery

Super popular place and friendly staff. Ice cream was good but I'd wouldn't say out of the ordinary good. Not inexpensive and a bit out of the way to get to.

We hit some of the construction traffic on I-80 so decided to let the van rest for a bit and check out the lake. Parked near a communal dock and walked to this cute little spot.Truckee Trail was delicious, though I didn't see how the purchase of it was marked to really make donations... maybe its a monthly measurement thing. Anyways considering they appear to have a local monopoly going, prices were good, service was friendly and the musak was perfectly in background yet still danceable when waiting in line. If you're six and that's your sort of thing.

Great flavor selection and amazing customer service. Personally my favorite would be they're honey blueberry lavendar absolutely wonderful flavor! If you have a chance you gotta go try it!

Like a few other reviews I'm now reading I wish they had something on yelp to let us know where their truck was. We were in Tahoe City walking down the block after dinner and passed the frozen yogurt place that had a decent size line, and I said pass I didn't want to wait. Just then I saw a couple of people walk by with ice cream cones so I walked passed a few more shops down and found their truck in the cobblestone plaza. I'm sure all their ice-cream is good, and every flavor my family got they all said was great, but TRUCKEE TRAILS, that is the legit best ice cream flavor combination I have ever had in my life. Sooooooooo good, I'm already decided that I'm going back again tomorrow

The best handmade ice on the lake Tahoe hands below. a lot of fun, and they have two trucks around the city in summer. really is the super premium!
