Calebotta - Trogir

Second of these commentary, that the waiters do not know what vegan means. I'm pretty sure they don't have vegan main dishes. they have definitely not updated the risotto by previous review on 2021-08-09

We came here for the good reviews, but without having to eat there. the waiter was not willing to answer my questions (e.g. if they use cheese to prepare the risotto). he was simply unfriendly and not informed at all. he clearly didn't know what vegan means. Finally, I didn't feel welcome, so we went.

I had mushroom rissoto, limonade, seasonal salad and garden hat here. everything was delicious. the server understood without lactose and vegan. the restaurant gives a really nice feeling. the toilets are also super modern and clean.

Very delicious risotto, orange juice was delicious and fresh. prices quite typical of the region, partner also enjoyed its (meat) court. big waiter, perfect English, menus outside are in different languages as well.

Stopped here as I had read they had a good mushroom risotto dish. There aren't many places in Trogir offering vegan options so I headed to Calebotta for this dish. It was delish! The menu can be a bit confusing though the risotto is labelled as vege' which after talking to the waitress, I assume means vegetarian rather than vegan. After telling her I'm vegan, she asked what I can't eat and talked to the chef to make sure it was vegan. Best to always make sure they understand what you need to avoid as I'm not sure many restaurants in Split fully understand unless they have a specific vegan menu etc. Shout out to the waitress who was super friendly and helpful!
