However, I was left disappointed. The butter chicken lacked a buttery flavor and just tasted like regular chicken curry. The lamb chop masala/curry was also disappointing, with chewy meat that did not complement the masala well. On a positive note, the chicken tikka was excellent - juicy, tender, and practically melted in your mouth. The naan bread was also a standout, being buttery, soft, and freshly prepared. Despite these two highlights, I was overall disappointed with the food at Zaza's and would not recommend visiting anytime soon.
We go very often and always love the food. We love the prawn curry, masala fish, kebabs, and paneer tikka.....and lots more. They sometimes have parties on the weekend, check before you ho as on these nights the service can be slower and also the food quality goes down a little for other customers, who are not part of the party, when there's a party. But I would highly recommend as the food (on a non party night) is just delicious and nice staff. It's def our favourite restuarant in Whitechapel by FAR. It's changed names and is called Zaika now.
The food was amazing and the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful! I would definitely go back again. There are also plenty of vegetarian options available.
We hosted a New Year's party for a group of 43 people at ZAZA. The party took place in the basement hall, and everything from the food to the staff to the environment and cleanliness was exceptional. The restaurant is under new management, and both the manager and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We absolutely love ZAZA.
The deal was off and the manager was very defensive and rude when we pointed out the foul smell. Day after all 3 of us had stomach problems.
