We walked to Urban Grounds and were pleasantly surprised to find it open in the middle of the week. The staff was friendly, and the cakes, as you can imagine, were delicious.
I can only share my thoughts on the breakfast we had at this café recently. It’s located near the CBD and has some onsite parking, although it fills up quickly. We sat at a table on the charming old veranda that overlooks Laurel Bank Park. The coffee was excellent and the service was impressively quick. The food was both delicious and beautifully presented. The only reason I didn't give a 5/5 rating was because the big breakfast came with sliced ham instead of bacon and a sausage, but the roasted tomato and half avocado were fantastic. This is just a personal preference of mine. Overall, it’s a lovely café with reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere; we will definitely be back.
