Montana's - Timmins Canada

I've visited a few times, and while the service was a bit slow, that's to be expected when the restaurant is bustling. The food was delicious, and the waiter was very friendly. Overall, a great experience!

The Two Piece Beer-Battered Fish and Chips was just average; the lemon slice was very small for two pieces of fish. The KAPOW! Shrimp didn’t live up to its name—there were only tiny shrimp for $16, and I won't order that again. The Caesar Salad was lacking as well; there was barely enough dressing—just one half-filled container for the starter-sized salad. It might have been an off night, but the food just wasn’t good.

Montanas is my favorite chain restaurant in Timmins, but to be honest, they're all quite similar in terms of low-quality food. I never leave feeling like, "Wow, that was fantastic!" I ordered takeout, which took an hour to arrive. Unfortunately, the chicken in the chicken burrito bowl was extremely dry, and the portion sizes were quite small given the high prices of the meals.

The food was, as always, fantastic. I ordered the pot roast soup to warm myself up, and it certainly did not disappoint!

Overall, it was an average experience for a chain restaurant. The wine from California was good, and the side dishes were enjoyable. However, the steak was disappointing. The sirloin was tough; although it was cooked medium rare as requested, it was chewy and not very impressive. I wish it had been better.
