Siva's Family - Timmins

Food was great, server was okay a little short with us, but over was fine. The restaurants atmosphere is a little dated, but it's clean so that's a win!

I travel to Timmins consistently on business and Siva’s is a restaurant that I will gladly return to every time I am in the city, the food is great, portions are generous and the service and atmosphere are very friendly and welcoming.

We got battered mushrooms and mozzarella sticks $10) as appetizers. They were over fried. Three out of the 6 sticks had no cheese. They serve them with salsa instead of marinara. I asked for marinara and they didn’t have any. Meatloaf $17) didn’t look home made, was a bit weird, can’t really explain. It was not good at all. Mashed potatoes were not great. Gravy was ok. My friend had hot beef sandwich and it was just ok. They have an all you can eat buffet which we checked out before ordering. Not much choice and it didn’t look fresh. Generally reminded me of cafeteria food. Not sure how its #1 in Timmins. Especially since there is East Side Marios, Montanas, and a few others. Since we had never been here before we thought we’d try it. Waitress was really nice.

Friday night buffet, quite a few tasty meat offerings, with the expected salads and desserts, offered us more than enough to eat our fill and then some. Almost everything was homemade, but their soups in particular were amazing! The owner came out and talked with us for a few minutes and thanked us for our patronage. Such a nice gesture from a hardworking entrepreneur.

We got there, and from outside it looks like not much but inside was very clean and had that mom and pop shop vibe.The service was extremely good. The lady that worked when we went was super nice, she had to leave as her shift ended and the transition was flawless!! Everyone was nice and they took great care of making us feel welcomed.
