Food - classic indian dishes very well executed: butter chicken, lamb korma, cheese naan, butter naan, cucumber raita, mango chutney.

I had heard good things about the restaurant from friends and thought of giving it a try Unfortunately my experience was was disappointing.

We came to this beautiful place on a busy sunny dayWe were sat down and the staff tried there best as it was so busyWe had a special but thought it average. I think we ordered badly though as other food looked goodIt felt a little like a self order cafe due to the popularity The pricing of food and wine was good as was the decorI think we need to go back and give it a fair go if it's ever less busy

Used to be one of my favorite cafes. New owners, new name 'riverway cafe' has dropped in service standards. Staff were rude and very poor communication with customers. Valentine's Day walked in the restaurant made eye contact with staff member who offered no greeting. Took about 15 minutes for a bottle of water to be served to the table. When it came time to order I went up to the counter and ordered two serves of corn cakes. We were told that the menu option wasn't available. I then went back to get my dates order again and went back up to counter to order eggs benedict with salmon again was told this is not available. I went to get the order a third time and the staff member said you have to hurry up we're about to close the kitchen (even though it was 11am and the door said open to 2pm) and I said well what do you have available. Staff made a rude remark. Staff were rude to other customers coming in the store also. Staffer very rude and unfriendly. It was not what you expect from a cafe in such a prime beautiful location. I will not be visiting again. Food was absolutely lovely and did not take long to come out. But service staff terrible, should have politely communicated what wasn't available and early close time when brought out menus. Also provided a menu with lunch options after 11am. When tried to order of this menu at 11.30 we were informed only the breakfast menu was available. Overall a very poor experience from the new owners.
