The Gateway And Lodge - THREE RIVERS

The creek view is amazing. You can enjoy the great view while eating. In addition, the food is great, I highly recommend the fish and chips and the sequoia burger. The beef in the burger is juicy. The amazing part is that I could find Tesla charge station next the the restaurant. The owner set it up and you could use it for free. You could call the restaurant to check if the charger is available or not. It is super convenient. Highly recommend such great restaurant with great food, amazing view, nice staff and only Tesla charge station around.

My husband and I have been stopping at this restaurant for years after our hiking days at the Sequoias . Always felt comfortable with great atmosphere and friendly staff. We have always loved to order our calamari appetizer but this time we found out they have changed it into O-rings you get less and the price went up . They had plenty of new staff but not friendly they wouldn?t even acknowledge us and we noticed they smiled and talked to the people on the other tables. We don?t mind spending money there but now I?ll think twice before I take my grandkids and kids there. My family has loved it there all this years . I truly hope they hire nicer staff. I know we?ll give it another try let?s see how it goes because knowing me I will post another review.

We dined at this restaurant in December with two adults and two children. While the view and the staff were fantastic, the food was extremely disappointing and overpriced. We ended up paying $110 for two kids' meals and two adult meals. The Alfredo, priced at $23, was quite poor, and the BBQ burger with fries was just mediocre—definitely worth only $10 to $12 at most, rather than $20. The child's chicken tender and fries were $10, and the red sauce pasta cost $17. Everyone ordered a soda. This was by far the least enjoyable dining experience we had during our trip. In hindsight, we would have preferred to revisit Sierra Subs for dinner, which was delicious. My husband remarked that it was the worst restaurant food he has ever had. We don’t mind spending money on a good meal, but this experience was just disheartening. However, I must reiterate that the view and the staff were truly wonderful.

First of all, I thank Jesse, our server, that he was so friendly and wonderful for our dinners we had there. We went to dinner on Monday evening in October, and my fiancée and I just had busy hours before. We didn't tell Jesse, but he couldn't have experienced it better. Without telling him, he felt like a special occasion. We told him before we left, and he said we should stop next night. Honestly, we had such a great experience for dinner that we decided! The owner of the gateway was there when we left the second night, and he made a point to congratulate us and celebrate us a special pleasure. Everyone at the gateway deserves an applause for service, food and atmosphere. We'll be 100% back. Thank you.

The breakfast brush was set and served immediately. The portions were large and delicious. It's pretty expensive, less than I thought it was for the area. The line for the red forests starts not far, great location for food before a long day or after. Forget it, they recommend reservations to be at the base and attached to a hotel, it must fill quickly
