El Pollo Loco is the real thing. Good quality food and relatively authentic. Taco Bell and Del Taco and the like are garbage by comparison.

Have I ever had bad El Pollo Loco? Of course. No fast food restaurant is exempt. But I think I 've had good-great food at El Pollo Loco more than any other fast food chain. The food is nearly always great or better. I once said I could eat here every day at least once, and that still holds true today. Some of the best fast food you 'll ever eat!

I was not impressed with the food. Crew was too busy playing rock paper scissors to even acknowledge me. I probably would go back to try the chicken soup but nothing else.
