The Red Barn - Thornton

This bakery and cafe is truly a hidden gem. They offer fresh goods daily and the staff is incredibly friendly. In addition, there is a local crafts shop on site. If you're headed to Whakatane, this stop is definitely worth it.

Was over charged and denied refund because they said it was to hard to work out even though they looked back and saw they over charged. Food order came out wrong first then was “fixed” with barley cooked eggs (egg white still watery and soggy toast with cold mushrooms food was pretty much soup by the end very sad as have been here before and was super happy

Not my first time at the Red Barn, always wonderful food, very delicious, and the atmosphere is great to enjoy a nice pie with your son (as I did) our server Dylan was such a kind young man, and made us feel very welcome, will be coming back soon.
