Playfair Terrace - The Rocks

Located inside the Holiday Inn in The Rocks area, this is an excellent choice for casual dining. Their breakfast buffet is plentiful, tasty and fresh. The staff was polite and efficient. In Easter they offered coffee and hot cross buns that were delicious. Great restaurant tucked inside a hotel.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn in Old Sydney and this restaurant is in Hotel itself. Had the special offer of one main course each and a Bootle of wine for 56 dollars. I had the spicy chicken and my wife had the rib eye steak, both really tasty , with mine being a little spicy but not overpowering. Excellent value.

When we first arrived, the counter was unmanned and the one cleaning told us they only do breakfast. Someone eventually arrived and lunch indeed was served -- was pretty sure they did as I asked earlier in the day. Food was good, though very limited choices.

Should have bought a pie down the road! Totally ripped off! Do not go anywhere near the Playfair Restaurant at the Holiday Inn , the Rocks!!!

After walking around Sydney for over 3 hours we came back to the hotel and took up their offer of the meal deal. The slow cooked lamb shanks were fantastic and just the ideal meal after walking around on a cool night. It came with a bottle of house white which was a Tatachilla Shiraz cabernet. Best house wine we've had at any hotel. Loved the meal and the wine.
