The service was good, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The wiener schnitzel was small and overcooked, the spaetzle was also dry, and the crepe dessert lacked moisture as well.

This restaurant does not serve authentic German or Swiss cuisine at all. The schnitzel was thick and tough, and the red cabbage had an off-putting taste. The spaetzle was nothing like the traditional dishes you'd find in Germany or Switzerland. On a positive note, they did not charge us for one of our dinners, which was appreciated. However, if you're looking for authentic flavors, I would advise against dining here. The prices are completely disproportionate to the quality of the food. On the other hand, the service was excellent and very attentive—no complaints there.

The only reason I'm giving this place one star is because of the ambience and service. However, since only two tables were occupied, the service wasn't exactly a challenge. We ordered two different crepes, but they seemed either very old or like they were made with flour tortillas instead. There was very little meat or cheese inside, and the crepe itself was inedible.

The thing that makes this experience 5 stars isn't the food or the service which were good it is Beatrice This hotels restaurant has a completely silent, well behaved half blind? beagle /with some dachshund? named Beatrice our waiter said she is the boss of the house I posted a picture of her sitting next to a table she only sat there for 10 -15 seconds and then continued to go to the two other tables and finally wandered out of the room

We stopped by to get ourselves something to eat before going up the mountain. It's probably the most convenient spot since the restaurant is situated right before you walk up the hill. Ok, so let's do the food. The Salmon Crepe: It was wonderful. I'm very partial to savory crepes, so this is something up my alley. It also comes with a side of lingon berry compote which was a refreshing addition if you're into the savory sweet combinations. I'd definitely order this again if given the chance. Hof Omelette: I had this on the second day we were here. The omelette was very good. I enjoyed it to the last bite. The hash was a little over done. It might've had something to do with us being the last customers in the restaurant. Anyways, I enjoyed this spot. It was quiet. We were pretty much the only ones in there when we were eating which is something I truly enjoy. The decor was old worldish German style which was quite cute. Also the service was exceptional.
