Urban Tadka - TERREY HILLS

We have been to this restaurant many many times, though it is expensive, it has an amazing atmosphere and delicious food. The deserts are always fantastic and the staff are great as well. They offer catering options as well so keep them in mind if you are throwing a party. On our most recent visit to Urban Tadka, we tried the new menu and it was some of the best Indian food our family has had. Highly recommended.

Great taste with nice ambiance Food was so delicious, Highway balki gosht chaman kurkure was our tables favourite everyone liked it.

We have dined here on a few occassions, the food is marketed to be fine dining, which is not, however the atmosphere was always enjoyable and location close to Pymble. We were forced to wait 30 minutes, did not see a drinks a waiter for 30 minutes, asked politley one of the waiters about drinks oder and entrees, response was arrogant, rude and belittling, drinks arrived after 50 minutes, entrees were well entrees and we were pushed very hard to decide mains ASAP, our lamb was very tough, and it seems this so called hatted place may be missing few hats when it comes to service and quality of foods. We have dined at some of the worlds most famous eatries, and never treated with such contempt. It amuses me to say they actualy believe all the hype about themselves and the countless reviews praising their experiance... As for us, we will never return. A polite answer, a genuine smile and concern for customers can in most circumstaces resolve issues, but not for this establishement. Grossly over priced for average food

My friends and I dined at Urban Tadka in early January. While the food was excellent, their reservation booking practices left a lot to be desired. We reserved a table for 8 people and paid a deposit of $280. We split the (large) bill amongst 4 couples, but unbeknownst to us, the $280 deposit had been deducted from the bill. As a result, my wife and I ended up paying $280 deposit 25% of the net bill. I am very comfortable with providing a credit card to reserve a table, but have never seen the practice of deducting the deposit from the final bill. When questioned, the restaurant said that we should just ask our friends for the money, but it's now too late (and embarrassing) to do so! Very unhappy!

Been there many times. This time for lunch with guests for business. Excellent food as usual. Quiet afternoon and so got great attention. Authentic Indian food.
