Sam's Southern Eatery - Temple

The food was merely average. I requested no sauce on my po boy, but was told it doesn’t come with any. However, when I got home and dug in, there was sauce on it anyway. Both the chicken and the fried fish were dry, and the red beans and rice were quite bland.

I go here atleast twice a month. All experiences have been good until last week. I took my wife to eat. I asked for a booth and the waitress thought she was gonna decide where we sit. I feel that's disrespectful to the customer. I hate that I have had a bad experience. I hope they teach their employees to treat everyone with the same respect they want. While dining. I'm Ghost.

The grilled fillets here are absolutely amazing! The prices are definitely justified. I’ll be coming back to enjoy another meal. Parking is also convenient with plenty of spaces available.

A solid choice when you're craving fish and shrimp. I've always opted for the fried version, but they also offer a healthier grilled option. The catfish fillets are served piping hot from the fryer in generous portions for the price, and they really hit the spot. The shrimp are particularly impressive in size, almost like they were just caught fresh. The meal comes with two sides: red beans and rice, plus a delicious cup of coleslaw, and I couldn't resist adding an extra order of hush puppies. The 3-piece catfish and 6 shrimp entrée is more than enough to share. There are plenty of options on the menu. This location has seen many restaurants come and go, but Sam's Southern Eatery seems determined to make it work. It’s not easy to break the streak of ill-fated restaurants that have tried to set up shop here, but it looks like Sam’s has found a way to succeed.
