Great Harvest Bread Co. - Temecula

The hotel is located in a shopping center so much parking! We stopped here after our hot air balloon trip. The menu seems to be wide with numerous delicious options. We made a fresh bread sourdough fresh for dinner and boy it was delicious! The price seems reasonable and the service was attentive.

I would normally leave this place a 4 5 star review but this last time I came in I asked for a piece of Savanah Bread from the display which looked very nice. When I got home and opened my bag I was given the smallest corner piece which wasn't even in the display. Again this is my 1st bad experience here but I do feel slighted. On the plus side every bread my family has tried has been delicious. The bread pudding is to die for, cookies are super tasty, and the sandwiches are great also. (Pic Savanah Bread on right side)

I tried three things here: the Cinnamon Roll, Zucchini Bread and a loaf of Bacon Cheddar Sourdough Bread. All three were fine but nothing exceptional. Cinnamon rolls are pretty standard these days including this one. Frankly, I think the Pillsbury refrigerated cinnamon rolls you bake yourself are quite comparable and just as delicious. The Zucchini Bread was tasty and made with whole wheat flour. I had the wrong idea that all the baked goods here used whole grain flour. Most don't, which is fine. The Bacon Cheddar Sourdough was also OK, but they put the filling in the middle of the loaf and it made a big whole when the bread was baked. Challenging for sandwiches. The place was very clean and Covid-19 protocols were in place. I liked that they put the bread in a paper bag to keep the crust crispy but also included a plastic bag to put the bread in after a day or two so it doesn't get hard. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We got the smokehouse sandwich and cinnamon scone and they were delicious. The sandwich was nice and hot and the bread was crisp. My only complaint about the sandwich is that it was a bit overly saucy that I kind of wished there were more greens. The cinnamon scone was pretty sweet and crisp but a little dry. I wish I had some hot tea to go along with it. The service was also very pleasant.

The bread here is amazing. Sandwiches are also very good. Have made a home oat flakes and granola and it was wonderful! The staff is also very nice!
