Only on the bottom one gives only two tortillas for the handle of cheese. The Elephant was fantastic. I'd say the Enchiladas were the best we ordered. I wish I could do it so well. Carnitas were good. Also the churros.. they were a little too dry for my taste. I like them Chewier. The chocolate sauce that comes with it is meh, but the caramel sauce is on point. All the food we got, plus a beer just came to $85. Definitely worth the price. would come back
We didn't want to leave the hotel for dinner so we decided upon this place. This is not typical Mexican food. The chips are really thick like corn chips but they're good and the salsa was good. The food was decent just not exactly what we were used to. If I decided on Mexican again I'll go to the food court to get food.
2nd time at the 1882 Cantina, their carnitas are excellent and pozole was really good! Will definitely be back.
Delicious food and yummy drinks gracious staff fast service too but not pushy on average each plate is about $14 definitely going back
Sometimes I like to wait a few weeks when a place first opens up so that they can work out the kinks and be smoothly operated.... They still aren't there yet after a month. (Food Review at the bottom) The guy sitting at the bar next to me was just about done with his meal and I guess he ordered an extra ceviche. I also ordered ceviche as an appetizer but my main entree was the chicken mole enchiladas. The bus boy brought all of our items together and gave me one ceviche and both of the other two items to the guy that just finished his other meal?? Like common sense would tell you he already finished his meal. The entre was going to me?? The guy looked at it and pushed it away and said it wasn't his. Maybe I'm a finicky eater but just the thought of someone breathing on my food like that makes me cringe. I let it go though and just ate. Apparently the bartender was to blame. She told the bus boy. I don't know why I gave her a dollar after this. She didn't even take my order. The host did because she was taking way too long to make simple drinks. But I still tipped 20%. Geesh. I really need to stop tipping incompetent workers because then they think it's not a big deal. I would say the chips and salsa was the best item. It's a nice homemade corn tortilla chip so it's super crunchy. The salsa was tasty. But they come with the meal... The ceviche had no seasoning or lime juice. It barely had any ingredients other than the seafood. If you've ever eaten plain lobster meat, it's OK but without the butter or some kind of sauce, it's honestly pretty bland. The mole enchiladas were just so so. I really didn't get that rich mole flavor I love to taste. It's almost like the mole came out of a can. But it was ok. I mean, it didn't have any problem, but just not the wow I was hoping for. I don't think I would return. Maybe for a beer? Then again, the bartender was pretty slow and seemed unsure of herself. For 35 bucks, I'll just go to a local taco shop
