Honetsukidori Ikkaku Takamatsu

Waited for an hour. but it would say it was good. Order the wakadori (Junge Choke now) and oyadori (parents/old chicken) as I had to wait so long. Both were strongly spiced and went really well with the rice balls. Wakadori was very juicy and fleshy, with crispy skin. The spices really fall out with the Wakadori. Oyadori was my favorite chewing (Think gizzard-y texture) and the meat itself was very tasteful (very chicken-y). So the prominent taste with the Oyadori was the chicken taste itself. The skin was crispy (also chewing), but again, as I said, very tasteful. Go for the Oyadori if you don't mind chewing food. But look around, maybe 65% of customers ordered wakadori the most likely because it is easy to chew. Order both and find your favorites, but if you are an average person, two might be a bit too much.

There were about 5 minutes before opening hours and there was already a decent line of people waiting outside, although I sat pretty fast, as there were quite many tables. However, you bite into the delicious chicken and you can see why this place is so popular. Definitely order some rice balls (mitsubi) to dip into the oil remaining on the plate. I suggest to browse the menu before you go, as they want to take your order almost immediately after sitting. This is partly due to the popularity of the restaurant, and also to how long it takes to prepare some of the dishes. Do not expect this to be a fast meal, but it is worth waiting.

Wow, that must be the best tasting chicken I've ever eaten! Normally I can't eat chicken skin, but this has been fried so crispy and has a large salt and pepper with a little spicy taste. Trash is everything you can eat and I recommend dipping the rice balls into the oil.

Kagawa Prefecture is famous for Udon. All people in Japan know that. But, still,,,,, All people in Japan, no in the world should know this chicken!!!! This spicy chicken meat is crispy and delicious. There are two species, one is a chewing parental bird and the other is a soft chick. You can choose your!! I love parents. I think this is the most delicious chicken in the world! The best chicken I have ever eaten in Japan so far. Very affordable too.
