Genmai Shinshoku Aisunao - Naoshima

In the evening after the lunch had stopped to serve, but the staff saved us a lunch and put it in the refrigerator in the guesthouse so that we could warm it up in the microwave. to breakfast were left onigiri and other small dishes for us in the kitchen. simple, but tasty, and convenient in view of the lack of options on the island (if practically everything else has been closed). the employee we spoke to on the phone was really nice, but the person who showed us was quite cold from some reason.

We came here while we visited naoshima because the great reviews it already has and we really enjoyed the rice set menu, especially all different veg, mushroom tofu, and suppe. it costs 1000/1100 for more rice when we visited in December 2019. the little sweet tofu part was amazing!

If they happen to visit naoshima their limited in their options as vegan, but this place is a must to visit. among the art houses of honmura district of naoshima island. her lunch is full of vegan and is for to die. simply the best rice and tofu I had visited so far in japan. the environment is traditional Japanese in a beautiful building that is a plus.

Bring vegetarian is challenging in Japan, and we often settle for uninteresting food because there are no other options. This place was a rare find delicious, beautiful setting, Japanese-style food and presentation, and vegan! There was only one menu option a vegan set meal of many small plates, which you could get with a regular size or large size serving of brown rice. Long wait to get in but service was fast.

I got the set meal for lunch at 1100 yen and it kept me full until 8pm! Super yummy and the staff is chill
