Banana Leaf - Taguig

I like this brand as it offers a great selection of Asian food. if they are sick from the usual steak and other English eating, then they go for this restaurant.

Late lunch today. I had the kangkong with garlic and the beef with curry. Portions were not ample but the taste was good. Service was ok but not spectacular. Food came out quick.

Very affordable Singaporean / Thai / Vietnamese mix of dishes. I found most of the dishes a bit too sweet (e.g. penang char kaw teow, chicken satay, pomelo salad). Best find is the Fried Tofu with Basil.

I've been to all branches of banana leaf but i think this branch has the worst service. Foods are amazing but the service is very poor. All our glasses are empty and they waited us to call them.

After a very fulfilling day coming from the Homeschool Conference held in this mall , it was time for a good dinner before proceeding to the airport. Our eldest was flying in from another country. Banana leaf was cozy with just enough light. The food list was alright considering that it was our first time to try this restaurant. So it was an exploration type of dinner. The chicken wings were good, so were the ribs. My craving for grilled pork was half-way met by their own version. This was on the last bite I tasted carrion , dead meat. Cooked meat differs from cooked dead meat. Bacteria alert! But my greatest pet peeve was even while eating, the staff came over and start clearing our table. RUDE! Diners out there it is basic that while you are eating, even at home, the table must never be actively cleaned while you are eating. This is the greatest disrespect one can ever experience at a dining table. Home Economics taught me this, manners taught me this, respect for the diner is the creed! No matter where, respect the diner. Banana Leaf... Have some lessons in restaurant ethics pls!
