The menu had a handful of gluten-free options clearly marked. I reached out to ask about their approach to celiac disease, and the chef spoke with me over the phone. They explained that they prepare gluten-free food in a separate section of the kitchen and detailed which dishes were safe to eat and which could be made gluten-free upon request (such as the barramundi without sauce). I ordered the butter chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. Although the server seemed unsure while I was ordering, the chefs were very knowledgeable and ensured my order was handled properly.

The food was excellent. The staff maintained their professionalism despite dealing with a very difficult woman who complained about everything, from her poorly behaved son to the wait for her garlic bread.

Great experience! Since the renovation of the Swallows, it’s been better than ever. They serve an absolutely delicious schnitzel, offer a refreshing cold drink, and the staff are genuinely friendly. It’s also kid-friendly, has a nice designated smoking area, and is a refreshing change for the neighborhood.
