Passiontree Velvet Macquarie - Sydney

I booked a high tea for people for yesterday at Passiontree Velvet Macquarie Centre but the staff had no record of my booking even though I had received email confirmation from OpenTable. We were told to wait minutes and advised the staff don't receive notification of online bookings and I should have called or dropped in to book!! Food was nice though quickly prepared which meant a lot of cutting and slicing one slice of cheesecake for people is hard to divide evenly

We had a booking for high tea. The staff looked like they had no idea about it and were not expecting us at all. We did have to wait some time for them to set up I think due to the confusion. Sweets looked lovely and tasted nice but the sandwiches came out very dry. The waitress was polite and took care of us. A bit of a mixed experience unfortunately. Still not a bad place for a more casual high tea as it is nestled in a food court

Went for high tea with my friend. We booked for , came min early , our high tea arrived mins later. Ordered drinks took mins for the drinks coffee was cold. Iced tea had to ask twice where it was and they forgot . Was not tea was cinnamon flavoured cordial. Food arrived, staff didn’t explain what it was or what we were eating just dumped it and walked away. I had to look at flavours of dessert with their dessert cabinet We watched them prepare the food as we were near the kitchen no staff wore any gloves and they scratched their heads and continued to prepare our food. Sandwich bread felt stale, didn’t eat any of it , cucumber with butter aparantly was acceptable. Rest were ham and cheese and something with salmon on it. Little apple tart thing was raw inside and microwaved crumbled to touch . There was salmon on saladas. Scone and macaroon were ok, We paid for high tea and this was terrible. We spoke to their staff about it, they said sorry I asked to see the manager they pointed to her and said go see her.We got another staff to flag the manager down, and she came over, we expressed our disappointment, she appologised and offered a pack of macaroons in return we asked a refund, she offered refund, we then asked for our money back as we couldn’t eat the rest of the food as it wasn’t nice and stale She refunded in the end. Wouldn’t go back

Very poor service. Staff extremely rude which spoilt the atmosphere

A lovely presented high tea at a great price. Nice surroundings that was surprisingly quiet. Staff were pleasant
