The food was enjoyable, the staff were friendly, and the service was good. However, it would have been appreciated to receive a call or email informing us of the situation beforehand. It is unclear why the restaurant lost its license in the first place.
After some **** coffees on our way to Sydney including Melbourne Airport, finally something to cheer us up. Did not get to try their Pizzas nor Desserts... But hopeful
Macchiato is a pizza and cafe located on Liverpool Street in the CBD area of Sydney. The restaurant is quite roomy inside and also offers outdoor seating. The service was excellent and prompt. We stopped by for coffee and discovered it was a great spot for breakfast as well. The prices were reasonable and they offered a good selection on their breakfast menu. Unfortunately, there is no parking available at the restaurant.
The pizza at this restaurant was delicious, but the prosciutto was not up to par. The waitresses were friendly, but the service was not well organized. Usually, pizza is served after finishing the antipasto, not all at once.
We had a Capricciosa pizza (ham, mushrooms, olives, artichokes), and a Spinach and Avocado salad. Both dishes were delicious with very fresh ingredients, and the serving size was very generous (especially the Avocado). Above that, what delighted and impressed us the most was the really...friendly and responsive service. Would definitely come back again the next time we are in Sydney.
