LNC Dessert House - Sydney

A dessert shop which mainly serves Chinese and Hong Kong style dessert. It's hard to make a choice among so many options and, even worse, a lot of them are unfamiliar, but look pretty nice. I've been there twice. First time I chose to take away. #Papaya with white fungus# is cheap but small as well. The dessert in a take away box looks really ugly, and indeed, tasted ordinary as well. So the second time I stayed there. I picked #Mango & Fruit Salad with Mango Gelato#. Although it looks quite like the one on the menu, the fruit is sour, especially for kiwis.  Anyway I still want to go there to try something new. Hope next time I could find a dessert I like.

We came to this place to dry out from the rain. The decor is very basic. There is no bathroom so if you're planning to stay a while make sure you don't drink too much. There's is a big extensive dessert menu. We decided on tofu in ginger syrup and grass jelly with sago and coconut milk. We expected the tofu to be served hot but it was cold like from the fridge. It still tasted good but would have been better hot. The grass jelly was good but the sago was small and a bit mushy. Would have preferred large chewy pearl-like sago balls.

Not overall pleased with my experience. The waitress speaks very limited English. I wanted to order a flavored milk tea, the initial response I got was all flavored ones were sold out, they only had original milk tea. When I said I won't have milk tea, she then said she can make flavored ones, but they are not nice. I mean I appreciate your honesty, but what??? I was confused. I ordered two desserts at the end, they were average.
