At our lunch, the service, food and ambiance were all very good. The wait staff were friendly and there was an excellent selection of first class meals.

A little bit of luxury here although not as much as in the past. Not sure if still open for lunch (I think it is). Good is consistently good as is the service although this has gone down in recent years. The main restaurant at was a fantastic private club which sadly is not so private anymore. Do not need to be a member just to go to the restaurant.

I have been a member of the Esperanto club for over 20 years.This is a place we frequent when we have guests especially from overseas when we need to catch up with old times;Soft piano music in the back ground, matured aged patrons quietly enjoying their fine dining, no one needs to shout over each other to be heard.Experienced wait staff are attentive but not over imposing. Many of the older regular wait staff have retired but some newer younger staff are under training with senior management.The chefs in the kitchen had modernised and keep improving the menu together with new cutlery, gone are the old gold rimmed large plates with "City Tattersal logo". They have won many top chefs award in NSW the last few years. This is one of the few fine dining restaurants where if you order a lemon sole, the wait staff will offer to remove the bones after you have eaten one side of the fish!The chateaubriand grilled fillet steak is still one of my old favouritesThe decoration needs updating but still maintain the old charmThe wine selection is pleasing and not too expensive
