Ipot Restaurant - Sydney

The concept is to have hotspot for 1. Step 1: choose your soup base Step 2: choose your meat Step 3: choose your vege And on and on Every step will coat you $. I think this is a little absurd, not really value for money. For the base I choose corn and pork bone base $12 Then I choose beef plate combo $ 26 I choose also spring onion pancake $5 No vege for me as this is already a little bit too much for me. My soup was ****** blend, happens just like my pork bone was pour with hot water, so I don't taste any sweetness from the broth. So dinner for my self, the damage was $43 for hot pot / one person. That's super expensive comparing hit pot around the neighborhood. Then again you can choose cheaper option for the meat, suit your budget.

My first time experiencing hotpot outside of home as I usually eat hotpot at home with my family. Cost wise it was very expensive, for two people it ended up around $100/$50pp. We did order a tad too much and ended up being really bloated but just keep it mind that it will obviously be cheaper if you have the traditional hotpot at home. If it is your first time at Ipot, they have steps to guide you in the menu but the first step is to always choose the soup as your base. Ordered: -Hearty beef & tomato soup* -Free range chicken soup* -Beef & lamb combination* -Hand-made mushroom & prawn mini wah -Hand-made cuttlefish mini wah -Chinese cabbage x2* -Glass noodles* -Crystal rice noodles -Ice chrysanthemum tea (by the carafe)* -Fish roe balls (can't remember the exact ones) * = recommended I did not particularly like the handmade wah, kinda expensive and did not taste that great.

It tastes just fine for me. Not so good not so bad, average i say. Their wah is good, the soya milk soup also good, I didn't like their chicken and herbal soup but my grandpa loves them. The beef okay, wagyu meatball toufu. The kurobuta also nice. Enoki beef etc etc

Never had worse!!!!!! We have a booking and confirm 10 minutes before arrival. Upon arrival i was told the table was given to the boss's friend who walk in TWO minutes before us and just took our table and no more table available!! Definitely worst experience ever! 没有更差的了！！!订了位子，到之前10分钟又打了个电话确认预约，一切都说没问题。到了饭店和我说把我的桌子给了老板，没有空桌了，就把我的预约取消了！！我只能重新找饭店！在两次确认后还能这样，第一次！

The same amount of effort that went into this review would sum up the service.    The food is great, the ingredients fresh, the selection of meat, veg and seafood in the set menu for two ($49pp) diverse, the service here was more passive which makes sense since its essentially a DIY meal.
