Fairmont Restaurant Occidental Hotel

Ate lunch here yesterday with a friend. We each had an eye fillet which was cooked as ordered - medium rare. Excellent pub food and attentive service. 'I'll be back' as Arnie says.

Met up with a few friends, old and new from the financial markets. The Fairmont is a classic steak house that hit all the right notes. The T-bone was delicious and very reasonably prices. I'm so sick of getting burned at " Big Chain " steak houses happy to find this spot. . Check it out well worth the visit.

Went there today with a colleague from work. The food was very ordinary. I ordered theFlat head fillet special and it was not fresh. It was very tough and not tasty at all. Very disappointing for the price you pay.The staff are always pleasant, but the food quality lets them down terribly.Sorry but true !

One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney's CBD, I have been going there for 20+ years and I have never been disappointed! It is not "trendy" and you do not walk out hungry. From the moment that you walk in and you are greeted by the amazing staff, to the first cut of perfectly cooked steak, to the surprise when you get the check....this is an "old school" but surprisibg restaurant. Drop in and say G'day to the lovely Delfina and staff and you will be amazed at how this Sydney CBD gem has been secret to you before.

I had heard that their steaks were very good so I organised a lunch with a friend. I was not disappointed by either the food or service. Admirably the place was not packed for lunch by the time we arrived at 1:15pm but the service from the staff was excellent. The wine list is not extensive but there was sufficient variety of red and whites. I had scallops for an entree which was delicious and a perfectly cooked medium rare steak with French fries. I would recommend this place for either business or pleasure.
